Pure Bars -- Review

A treasure from Pure bars arrived in the mail…

The rainbow assortment shone like gemstones,
I was so excited I almost forgot to exhale.

Cherry Cashew was my first and lit up my taste buds in a smooth and flavorful way.

This was followed by a new bar each and every day.

Pure Bar I love your organic, vegan, gluten free, fiber, antioxident and protein filled harmony.

Though your ingredients may be simple, when I take a bite I feel like I hear a symphony.

Cherry, Cashew, Cranberry, Orange, Banana, Coconut, Apple, Cinnamon, Wild Blueberry, Peanut, Raisin, Pomegranate, Chocolate, Almond, Dark Chocolate, you're delicious and nutritious varieties utterly delight me.

That was dear reader a whimsical little love poem to Pure bars. If you haven't already, get thee to a store or buy online and try one of each. Anyone who has read the blog knows I have a thing for the convenience of a nutrition bar, especially when short on time or needing to satisfy my sweet or salty tooth (I have one of each.) "Nutrition" bars can get a little off track in terms of providing nutrition. The ingredients lists can get long and confusing with words that you need a dictionary to know how to pronounce never mind figure out what they mean. Enter the Pure Bar, true to its name it contains pure, simple ingredients.

Here's the story: a super-mom named Veronica created Pure bars for her daughter, who, at the age of six decided to become a vegetarian. Like moms the world over she wanted to be sure her child was receiving optimal nutrition so took it upon herself to whip up a healthy snack that included organic ingredients, free from harmful pesticides and herbicides, refined sugars and the other not so natural ingredients commonly found in food designed for kids.

Veronica also wanted to include vital nutrients and of course the outcome had to taste good. Six year olds can be hard to please. I should know. I had my own children ,who are also vegetarian, try these and they approved with big smiles and full mouths. Nom, nom, nom. The top picks were the chocolate ones of course followed by the Banana-Coconut and Blueberry.

Not only are Pure bars good for you, the company does good for the global community through providing support to the Lunch Box Fund and the Celiac Disease Foundation. Way to go mama-Veronica!

Even this Unicorn likes Pure bar and Unicorns are about as pure as they come.

I highly recommend Pure bar because the ingredients really are natural, they taste good - my personal fave being the Peanut Raisin Crunch and you can feel good about supporting a mama-run company with a sound mission.

Connect with Pure bar on Facebook, Twitter and Veronica's Blog.

Purely Yours,
