Surprises (squeal..."Yaaaay!!!")

Some people hate surprises (what up?) I love them. I never want to know what I am getting for my birthday or Christmas--even as a child, though my curiosity at times overwhelmed me, I never wanted the surprise to be ruined, ultimately. I love a surprise visit from a friend or family member, sometimes I wish my house were more naturally in an orderly state so that such surprise visits wouldn't force me into the sweep & hide scramble, but at the end of the day I never think "Well it would've been nice if they'd called first!" the surprise is just so delicious to me. Even small surprises, like finding a $1 bill (or a $20...that happened last year!) in the pocket of some jeans I had put away for the summer season gets me all giddy. There are even surprises that one would think could be anticipated (slightly) and thus must not be as exciting when they happen, but no, I get just as excited for those ones. I might even get more excited for slightly anticipated surprises because then...well, I'm surprised that the surprise actually happened--wahoo!!!

Imagine my joy, for example, when I entered an itty bitty giveaway over at My Naturally Frugal Family and I won! I never win anything!! So you see, I entered the giveaway and then didn't give it another thought, I never expected to win. I. Was. THRILLED. So you'd think the surprises would end there, but no, as excited as I was I am also a very busy Mama who is juggling a lot. I assumed it would take awhile for my prize pack to arrive in the mail so I sort of "forgot" to be looking out for it. When the package arrived in the mail I was all "Uh...Wha????" and then it dawned on me...my BabyLegs!! (Okay, my baby's BabyLegs...don't know what those are? Click here.) I may have squealed (I did), there is a strong possibility that I jumped up and down (that happened) and alarmed my children (for shame...yup. That too.) It was so AWESOME!! I love surprises!!

Wanna see, huh? Huh? Wanna? (I'm still excited!!!)

The infamous package...the return address, so small that at first I couldn't figure out what this could possibly be. Then BING! "Oh yeahhhh......!!!!"

The prizes (!!!) A pair of footless tights, two pairs of leggings (one of which are "My 1st Babylegs", and a pair of Hello Kitty socks!

A personal note, what a lovely touch!

We've only own two pairs of baby leggings before this, and they were not BabyLegs, nor were they organic or this darn cute and fashionable!!

Who doesn't LOVE Hello Kitty? Violet's Papa is an especially big fan, so these were a nice surprise in the package! And I love the wording "Socks. For little feet." Mmmm hmmm. Cute little feet, with cute little socks to put on them!
Now, I don't like unpleasant surprises any more than the next gal, but we won't even get into listing what sorts of things could qualify in that category because this a happy post about happiness and well happy-making types of things. Woot! As you can tell, I turn into a bit of giddy 9-year-old girl (I have one of those and once was one of those, so I can say that with certainty) when it comes to surprises, but all I can say about that is YAY! Isn't it great? We should all be so lucky as to find something that makes us feel that way once in awhile. Your "something" might not be a surprise...maybe you really don't like surprises, good or bad, and that's cool. But I bet there is something that makes you giddy, puts a smile on your face every time, or makes you want to sing...or giggle...or share a hug. Whatever it is, I'd love to hear about it. Let's spread the joy!!

Special thanks to the oh so lovely Rachel over at My Naturally Frugal Family for hosting this giveaway, and thank you to BabyLegs for creating such a wonderful, adorable, consciously made product. And thanks to both for putting a big ol' silly smile on my face! My gal Violet is going to Rock Out with her BabyLegs Out, let me tell ya!!

All Smiles,
Tamar
