In the Mix Monday --- 5 Ways to Swap your Bad Mood for a Good Attitude.

Five ways to clear your head, relax, change your attitude in under five minutes...these help especially when PMS has got you in its maw. Or do like Seana and politely excuse yourself, lay down and read...hey, it's better than yelling, crabbing, griping and regretting it later. Though sometimes we do that too.

1.       Jump on a trampoline. No trampoline? Use the bed…bouncing is fun. Boing!

2.     Do a handstand. Can’t do a handstand? Use the same bed as above, lay on your belly by the edge and where you hinge forward at the hips, press your hands to the floor, keep your neck relaxed, and the crown of the head off the floor. You’re upside down. Cool.

3.       Pour a tall glass of water. Close your eyes. Relax the muscles of the face. Drink.

4.       Step outside. Close your eyes. Relax the muscles in your scalp, neck and abdomen. Listen. Breathe.

5.       Seek out scent. Lavender has relaxing qualities while lemon has uplifting…no lavender or lemon nearby? Smell some flowers, baked cookies, pine needles or any smell that is pleasing to you. Inhale.
